- CJ McCollum weird factoid - RealGM
CJ McCollum has been lucky that for whatever reason, he's avoided this pitfall You'd have thought that over the past decade, a team like Charlotte or Washington would've thrown money at him and just given him the keys to the team, which would've lead to inevitable tragedy

He is a defensive cone like Trae Gives poor effort on that end and gets beat by faster guards all the time Most likely bc his injuries have caught up to him at this age This isn't POR CJ Mccollum At 30mil per, we can do better Rather take a shot at Poole then pay 30mil for washed-up mccollum for that "veteran presence" b*****

I'm with just about everybody that Portland needs to re-balance the team, and that likely means trading CJ McCollum if possible But that said, I was just thinking about how good he is Since his 3rd season in the NBA and becoming a full time starter, the dude has scored over 20ppg every season, and up to 23ppg 2 of those 6 seasons

And-1 If we want a 2k trade, then CJ McCollum for Caldwell-Pope, Howard and the Denver FRP Wait: Actually, that trade might actually improve both teams

I'm not against a trade like that per se, but if you want to keep the core three and you're not taking a flyer on a guard that hasn't yet shown his full potential, CJ is a solid get Can play both on and off the ball, isn't a horrible defender, has field vision, solid production as pnr initiator on decent volume
