Assuming you are not on a server, or are the administrator of the server, you can type in " seed" while in the game and the numeric seed will be displayed Also, if you point Amidst at your world save folder it will display the numeric seed when it displays the biome map (and allow you to use Ctrl-C to copy it)

Using creative mode to seed the world and flew around, ended up using Locate for a mansion and when I got there I found me a witch hut next to it, Sweet then in my main game as I was running around to get there I found another witch hut, hehehe go figure, they are still quite a ways from the spawn point but at least I know where a couple are

Stop your server and delete your current world folder Then restart your server This will generate a new world seed for you if you have a particular seed you would like to use, you can set it in the level-seed section of the server properties file (do this before restarting your server)

Now, I know when you create a new world and you leave the seed blank, minecraft uses the system clock in someway to create the random seed (according to the wiki and other random forums) I know I left the seed blank so it would've used the system clock of when I originally made that world, and I have the time of when the folder was originally

Since Minecraft 1 2, the servers no longer send the seed to your client, however, F3 will still work, it just won't display the seed Rollback Post to Revision RollBack #8 Apr 22, 2012

Edit: Just checked, none of the files in the world data give me any seed data (but I'm pretty sure that was obvious anyways) and there is no command to display the seed in the server executable So, I guess you're out of luck, unless you want to copy your world over into your singleplayer saves folder and just view the seed from there, which is

Hi, im pretty new to Minecraft but i know how this works very well anyway my seed is -8552005692288654682 and i literally traveled around for at least 10 hours looking for villages but none found! I tried using AMIDST (a village and stronghold finding program) and it shows there should be a village right by where you start (96,160)
