Anydesk never ran in the background on my desktop machine, I'm very careful about that kind of thing I have a full install, and in the past all I've had to do is open up the Anydesk window, or shortcut directly to another machine, I could use the window and then when I closed it, the entire operation closed and it did not run in the background

This is the solution this Problem seems to happen when you transfer your data from mac to mac using Migrate assistant so the data on both macs are precisely the same so the Anydesk ID and you can't reset the ID on the Free version you need to Delete these to directories and re Install Anydesk so Anydesk doesn't have your old installation data to give you the same ID
