- W3Schools - How useful are they? : r learnpython - Reddit
W3Schools seems pretty decent at the moment, they have explained everything a a nice format (apart from the odd page that feels like a dictionary) i just wish you could log in to save specific pages i enjoyed most of the things they have taught me, compared to learnpython, learnpython feels worse for begginers it feels really short on any
- Your Thoughts on W3schools - The freeCodeCamp Forum
I use W3Schools just as a reference every once in a while If you want to learn a subject, I’d recommend looking at academind com Of course freeCodeCamp is great for HTML, CSS, JS, D3, and the other ones it has But when you want to dive a bit deeper get into other topics, check out Academind
- Why does so many people dislike W3Schools? : r webdev - Reddit
Today, W3Schools has largely resolved these issues and addressed the majority of the undersigned developers' concerns For many beginners, W3Schools has structured tutorials and playgrounds that offer a decent learning experience Do keep in mind: a more complete education will certainly include MDN and other reputable resources
- Has anyone ever compared GeeksForGeeks, TutorialsPoint and W3Schools . . .
W3Schools seems to cover less technologies than the other 2, but it appears it covers them well and even gives you exercises and a quiz after each tutorial So maybe having less is a good thing, don't bite more than you can chew Also they appear a lot in my google searches
- Thoughts on W3C Certifications - The freeCodeCamp Forum
About W3Schools This being said, I am not dissing W3schools - it can be a decent learning source for a beginner Even www w3fools com, a previous source citing their problems has changed their opinion recently If you really want their cert and have the money, go for it, but be aware of three things:

- Am I the only person who thinks W3schools isnt a great . . . - Reddit
I always recommend everyone to not read w3schools if you don't know about any syntax in detail Instead go through Mozilla Developer Network for any UI development related learning I use w3schools as pointer to keywords which I find it hard to remember But most of the time it's Mozilla Developer Network
- W3Schools Criticisms: whats so wrong with it? : r Frontend - Reddit
Like any other authoritative educational resource, W3Schools should both hold itself to, and be held to, the highest standards We hope we can illuminate why W3Schools is a troublesome resource, why their faulty information is a detriment to the web, and what you (and they) can do about it
- Are W3schools certificates credible? : r learnprogramming - Reddit
I believe the comment was directed at w3schools, the content of the post Certificates can be useful, but it depends on where you are getting them from Most people are more interested in how you work, hence the demonstration or portfolio of past work Certifications should largely be viewed as a catalyst for learning or garnish to your portfolio
- Is W3Schools. com any good? : r learnprogramming - Reddit
Also, W3Schools has zero connection to the W3C, which the name is clearly meant to imply Lots of shitty, shady sites use "W3" in their name to try to make you think they're more official than they are Whether this is what W3Schools tried to do, I don't know, but I don't like it The best source for web documentation is Mozilla Dev Network
