Hi everyone, I am fairly new to Revit and have been trying to get a grasp on it ; Context: I have a project that is fairly long and I wanted to enlarge each side of it and put it on a page nbsp; So I have tried to do "scope boxes", duplicate views (dependant and independant) but i end up with a fairly similar result which is a section cut line that doesnt get cropped in a view

I'm interested in finding a way to split a section view, I understand that you can use the 'split segment' button to split a section, but that only does allows the new line to be perpendicular to the original section cut Is there anyway to make a jagged section cut, such as a straight one, then all

When creating a section view part to the cut line follows some of the model geometry that I need to dimension to nbsp;However the section cut line hides the geometry and prevents selection for dimensioning to nbsp;Does anyone know of a work around for this nbsp;I could try to put all dimension needed on before the section view but that does not always work out

hi there, I created Section Cuts of my drawings I have the Section Cuts that I need, but on the Floor Plan, the section cut are not visible nbsp; I need to be able to show where the Section Cuts are on my Floor Plan nbsp; I have tried looking in Visiblity Graphics and tried Reveal hidden Elements but they are not there nbsp; I assume I could not have deleted them since if I did, I wouldn't

The break line symbol comes under the Detail items category Please go to visibility setting, select the model category and you have to check the detail items box then click ok, so that you can see the break-line symbol in the view

Look for Section line as shown THEN USE LINE COLOR AND LINE PATTERN TO USE DIFFERENT SHAPES OF LINES if you want to add other shapes of line go to mange then additional settings line styles or line patterns and add the shape you want if it helped please mark as solution

if I understand correctly, when I drag grips of cut line manually it doesnt changes CropBox I mean there are two kind of grips in cut line: - triangular to change CropBox; - circular to change length of cut line in active view Look at the picture below: I need to change only length of cut line

There is a hierarchy, where you can set the starting object line thickness for all views then you can assign overrides by view using either a family by family override or using filters, and finally you can force an individual object in a view to be overridden for that view only
