- 2015 WR250R coolant in oil - WR250R WR250X - ThumperTalk
I bought a 2015 WR250R that was partially disassembled I put it together and it starts and runs great but has coolant in oil I saw on a thread that there is a coolant plug in the head and confirmed it was in place I put in a new water pump and seal Just started it and let it heat up
- Oil Level - WR250R WR250X - ThumperTalk
Put in a new filter and 1400ml of oil completely over filled, I started it for 5 minutes and then turned it off for two minutes before checking, let a cup or two out, seems spot on went for a longer ride, waited two minutes to check, seems very low, so I add a bit
- wr250r recall question - XT TT TW - ThumperTalk
I've done plenty of this type of riding with no troubles on my 2013 and plan to have mine replaced when I'm due for an oil change, since they change the oil anyway The stator will stop charging the battery and when the battery eventually looses juice the bike will stop running
- Is this type of oil ok for WR250F? - WR250R WR250X - ThumperTalk

- Squeeking around front sprocket - WR250R - XT TT TW - ThumperTalk
The owner's manual says change the oil every 3000 miles If I rode exclusively on pavement, I would stick to that On my other vehicles, I go by the "severe duty" schedule This usually means changing the oil and air filter twice as as often The WR250R X manual doesn't have a "severe duty schedule", but 1500 miles between oil changes sounds
- here is solution for stripped oil cover bolt - ThumperTalk
It's below the Oil Filter Element Drain bolt Manual calls for 5 bolts without a filter change: 1 Frame 2 Crankcase 3 Oil Element Drain bolt 4 Bolt (Oil hose) 5 Frame Filter Not much comes out of it, much like the Oil Filter Element Drain bolt The frame and the crankcase get most of it I don't to the Frame Filter
- Wr250R Air filter after 316 miles need cleaning? - ThumperTalk
The book says clean every 4000 miles These pictures are after 316 miles of 60% dirt road riding We have not had rain for 6 weeks so it was very dusty I am not a believer in cleaning the filter after every ride or 3 I am not sure why it cakes on the filter in one place vs being spread out more
- Over filling your engine with oil - WR250F YZ250F YZ250FX - ThumperTalk
And if you're worried about a little bit stick 1 4 inch tube into the area where the oil is and then just pull a little bit out I once put a full oil charge into my bike having forgotten to drain that used oil old Went riding for a couple hours Oil just shot out of the valve cover breather tube into the air box and made a big mess
- WR250R and 20w-50 oil? - Page 2 - XT TT TW - ThumperTalk
As for the "additives", as far as anti-wear additives, the more the better that is as long as the oil can support it (some oil formulations can support more ZDDP than others) Maxima has the industries highest levels of anti-wear additives, as you can see from the chart! As far as moly goes, there is more than one type!
- wr250r x oil change bleed bolt - XT TT TW - ThumperTalk
Just changed the oil in my WR250R Was following the specs in the manual and remembered this post about not really needing to check the bleed bolt But Where is the GD thing located? From the stick picture in the manual it appears to be on the left side of the engine
