I have downloaded over 50 mods off modland and never got viruses , the thing is that: you gotta be careful , most mods on modland have their download link set as modsfire com which sometimes when you press the download button there a new tab will open of an "ad" (yes i have opera gx ad blocker) which THERE you may be confused and think that the download link of your mod is there , dont fall

Here's one mod from modland net, This mod doesn't just have bad crash physics But its also a leaked mod from @Alexio and @Fralexio though almost all of their mods are leaked The mod is bad because it's an unedited H-series jbeam and there's no broken headlights texture

I have heard modland is less than trustworthy and might spread viruses etc So what is the consesus on using it? I'm fairly well versed in internet safety and do take precautions but dont want to take unneccesary risks using risky sites

As far as I know, Modland is 100% not safe Nearly all of their mods lead to sketchy sights asking you to download clients and install extensions TL;DR Modland isn't safe, even if it say its scanned

Modland has low quality mods, stolen mods, leaked mods, mods with stolen assets, mods with potential viruses It's really poorly moderated so you have no idea what could be in the files, and viruses aside it's bad to support a site that allows leaks and stealing

Modland are known for the following Poor Low quality "meshslap" mods, they may look nice but not realistic to drive or crash Stealing mods from the offical repo to claim as their own, mod makers do not appreciate this as they put a lot of effort in Even worse, stealing paid mods and giving them away for free Leaking mods from Private groups and clans Worst and final of all, they do not
