- r carmax on Reddit: How do you take advantage of Maxcare rental . . .
I ask because all the major companies right now have insane rates for rental cars My enterprise here says $97 day for a compact A compact! Other companies are the same But other people say, well "Carmax probably has negotiated rates that are well under $40 day " How do I take advantage of that?
- MaxCare car rental : r carmax - Reddit
so I recommend going to carmax and minimizing your cost now if you have openened the claim already via the dealership get it authorized some occasions theyll send an inspector first once authorized get your own rental for how many ever days you need and contact them (maxcare, in my case maxcare was assurant) and request for rental reimburse
- Short term Carmax Rental : r personalfinance - Reddit
So using it is out of the cards I looked at enterprise, Travelocity, Expedia… there are no rental cars available in my area for that week Carmax offers “30-Day Money-Back Guarantee where customers can return the car for any reason for a full refund if the vehicle has not been driven more than 1,500 miles ”

- Is buying a used fleet, rental worth it? : r carmax - Reddit
Just got approved for a 2019 mustang gt with 63k miles and I just paid $700 for a transfer I'm having serious 2nd thoughts because of the "Fleet, Rental prior use" labeled in the description Do you think it's worth it? If I do get it I'll definitely be adding the warranty Can I have carmax provide me the maintenance record on the car? Thanks
- If a car from Carmax was a previous rental car, should I still be . . .
People have varying opinions on rentals, but IMO I wouldn't touch them Most have been beat on and put away wet, maintenance intervals are pushed, they are often smoked in, have at the very least minor cosmetic issues to full blown accident history issues You save a few bucks up front buying a rental but total cost of ownership is usually more
- Do customers with max care qualify for a loaner car? : r carmax - Reddit
Hopefully,Engine and tranny is good so it’s mostly wear and tear items such as bad rotors and brakes which makes the car shake at highway speeds especially while braking so I hope they fix it even tho Carmax usually don’t bother with Wear and rear claims
- Carmax listings: Prior use = Fleet. Should I stay away?
My last 3 cars (as well as my SOs) have been rental cars All of them have surpassed 100k with no major issues There are bad apples out there, but unless the rental company literally tries to screw the cars up, sub 40kmi vehicles can last a long time if maintained well (which you should do anyway
- Car I am buying was used as a loaner at Carmax : r carmax - Reddit
I would shy away from this deal Y dealings were carmax were hellacious I won’t go into what happened, but I realized carmax cars are rental cars For a 2022 to have 24k miles (approx) per year is really high They probably ragged it out too
- Checking out a vehicle at Carmax. Its a former Lease. Should . . . - Reddit
I also worked as management for our Enterprise Rental division, and can attest to personally interacting with the rental customers and how well they treat the units I would estimate 98% of customers treat a rental better than they would their personal vehicle, for they do not want to be liable for any damages or issues when they return
