A 1 8 bit also cuts very slowly and has trouble ejecting the sawdust from the cut so it gets hot easily Feed it too fast and you'll break the bit All in all, not a very satisfactory way to cut I got by for years with just a good jig saw instead of a dedicated scroll saw I got a great deal on an RBI Hawk scroll saw a few months ago

- convert pin type saw to plain end blades | Router Forums
My Craftsman scroll saw is probably close to 20 years old now It will take pin or pinless blades, so I'm surprised your's won't But all I use are the pinned blades, much less of a pain to use, and I don't cut any small holes anyway - and on the very few occassions I do cut holes, I just cut in from the side, do the hole, and back out
- Circular saw, miter saw or table saw? | Router Forums
I have a 7 5 inch circular (Makita), 6 5 inch 18v portable I really enoy using because of its light weight (DeWalt), a 6 5inch track saw (Triton) which is wonderful for breaking down sheet goods, a 10 inch sliding miter (Bosch), an assortment of hand saws including my much used Dozuki Japanese saw, a 10 inch Laguna table saw that gets used most
