Not sure if this varies with the difficultysetting but playing the game on Very Hard for the campaign map bribing even the smallest army led by a mediocre rebel captain will usually cost at least 10 000 denari This cost probably varies with patches and settings, and I recall bribing being much easier and cheaper in version 1 0 for instance ----

You can set the Aragonese to play a GA campaign as i recall, but you have to adjust the GA file, whose format is really messy I would have thought it far easier to buy VI for your MTW, that makes Aragon playable and even provides special GA goals like the Sicilian VEspers

In Medieval: Total War the big ones I recall were the Rose Compass, Golden Horde, and Gunpowder events In RTW we have heard of the Marius Reforms (new units) and the Sparticus Revolt (rebellion or new faction?) I imagine the Marius Reforms will not only activate the Legionnaire unit for Romans but also activate the Seleucid version

If I recall correctly, there are only 2 archer ranges in the default version of the game Normal and long Any archer unit that has 'Long Range Missiles' should have the same range as other units with the same attribute The range of normal archers is 120 I think, and those with long range missiles is 170

On page 72 of the Viking Invasion user pamphlet, regarding "Disbanding Units," it states: "Remember that any unit you disband many no longer cost you money, but it hasn't completely disappeared from the game

Does anybody know which file has all the earthquakes,floods and crap and how to shut it off? I just lost 3 family members to floods and earthquakes in the last 2 years If you recall, I'm the one trying to keep the royal line pure so I don't have many family members to spare Thanks

I've just started an Austrian Campaign and I recall being told that Austria was in the frontline against muslim incursion from east, that Austria's role is to defend the true faith and protect its Catholic neighbours from the spread of the protestant faith from the west and the muslim faith from the east, and to ally with its catholic neighbours to provide mutual support

Anybody know a good way to get your general some mad and sick traits? I recall in RTW how sometimes they got this "bloody" trait, and others up to a point it'd scare the troops My generals always have a mix between good amounts of chivalry and dread (and many stars of course) Sometimes some cruel traits but never any mad ones

I kept rejecting it because I was waiting for my King to produce an heir, after he produced an heir I was very nearly done with the game, so I don't recall what happened afterward I was playing the Danes so I generally had a foreign princess lined up for my princes as soon as they turned 16 and didn't much care if the others got married or not
