- Celestron Cometron 12x70 - Binoculars - Cloudy Nights
Well you gotta admit they have invented the 12x70, which seems like a good idea Over 12x is getting a little more than effortless for me to hand hold satisfactorily, braced in my chair, but the popular 12x50 gives a rather dark view Quality, durability, FOV, how many mm is it really, etc , right right

Celestron 12x70 Cometron Binocular - posted in Binoculars: Does anyone know anything about the Celestron 12x70 Cometron Binocular? They are relatively inexpensive ($70) at B H, so much so that I am skeptical of their quality I would think that you get what you pay for, but I would also assume that Celestron values their reputation

The Celestron 12x70 Cometron - posted in Binoculars: I will have one for review shortly A lot of people have been asking about this model--will it be a budget king low power sweeper? - Cometron 12x70? - Binoculars - Cloudy Nights
I read the reviews for the Cometron 12x70's on Amazon Here are some negatives I didn't like: Big and heavy Hard to hold steady Half of the reviews recommend a tripod But the bigger deal breakers came from the Celestron website specs: Weight 49 3 oz, that's over 3 lbs! Field of view 4 6 degrees, too narrow!
