On John McDonald's death certificate the Informant (Edward Irby) state he had been in Australia for 30 years The Death certificate states he was 39 years of age when he died so if these figures are correct he must have come out to Australia when he was 9 years of age

I noticed that Ellen remarried after Andrew Mcdonald's death, to Joseph WHITTA in 1864 There is a death in the Vic indexes for an Ellen WHITTA aged 52 in Ararat 1883 reg no 7166 This seems a possiblity The vic online has a Andrew McDonald aged 22 arriving on the "Lysander" in 1841 Cheers Genni *****

I found a headstone in Canada in the place they emigrated to (distant cousins still live there) that I think is Ellen McDonald's On the headstone it states that she was the wife of Donald McDonald and a Native of the Parish of Laggan Do any of these names look familiar to any other genealogy researchers in this forum?
