Robinhood is owned by the same people who own Citadel, if you followed the GME stuff They make money by selling your order flow to citadel's high frequency trading hedge funds But, if you are indexing away in a vanguard ETF say, that order flow worst legally allowed execution on trades doesn't really matter

The Robinhood investment account sync is kind of a mess so I just do it manually now in Empower Ex: it sometimes just shows the balance, but not the underlying holdings (throwing off a bunch of charts like asset allocation), it won't reflect margin being used, you get hit with 2-factor prompts every time you open Empower, etc

I use Robinhood for my fun money brokerage account It's been great thus far We use Vanguard for our 'serious' brokerage account Robinhood has super minimal features, on phone only Trading really is free Taxes are really easy if you use TurboTax, it's a one click import (just like many other main brokerages)

I've completed the process of transferring 2x Roth IRA and 2x Trad IRA accounts from Vanguard over to Robinhood It took a bit more time effort than expected, but overall it was an easy $18 6k I started with a trial run on our smallest account I called Vanguard and asked them to convert my VTSAX mutual funds to ETF equivalent (VTI)

Robinhood lets you place a trade order before the market opens, but I wasn't actually looking to 'buy' I just wanted to confirm that the stock was available first, and got this message: This stock is not supported on Robinhood
