- Question about Minimum Voltage and Electronic Components - Electronics . . .
Aloha, Because I cannot have enough projects, especially those involving defunct LGB battery powered m2075, I thought I’d start a new - hopefully easier - one In essence, the IR controller, on crew’s LGB battery-operated m2075 no longer works As the sound card failed much earlier, my plan is to rip the whole thing out and replace it with a DPDT switch and manual speed controller Most
- Purchasing Electronic Components - Electronics - Large Scale Central
Looking for advice on “go to” places for basic electronic accessories…quality stranded wire, male female barrel plugs for batteries, etc For a city the size of Fresno not to have an actual electronics store is criminal And with Radio Shack gone it’s even worse Thanks, Richard
- Stupid Li-ion Battery Took Out the Charger! - Electronics - Large Scale . . .
I use Li-ion battery packs in my rail polisher and one of them apparently shorted out internally and when I went to charge it, not knowing this, it smoked the charger too! I have two 11 1 volt packs for the polisher and the shorted pack only reads ~4 volts across the first cell with no additional gain from the next two cells, whereas the good pack shows ~4, 8, then 12 volts across the three
- Programming LGB 65001 for 2028D Mogul - What’s needed? - Electronics . . .
I am trying to “configure” the LGB 65001 (with 65011) to work properly on my 2028D Mogul I just got back into large scale after a 25 year break A lot has changed I am currently running analog and will eventually switch to battery So, digital is not of any interest to me besides programming the configuration of these devices I see that instead of programming CV 193 to sync the speed, I

- Power and control compatibility - Power and Sound - Large Scale Central
So, at no load the output is approx 21 volts, but at 5 amps or more the power drops and at full load down to 16 volts I go to MPJA com and get the regulated supplies, and I have found these at great prices Look carefully and you will see units that are being resold on the BAY for triple what MPJA sells them
- DIY Power -- Good, Bad, or Neutral - Power and Sound - Large Scale Central
All, I just wanted to run a parts list by folks who speak the mystical language of electronics I chose them from the Marline P Jones Associates website based on the recommendations above I did not include wiring or the case, as I can procure those locally: Extension Chord to power supply Power Cord, 5ft NEMA 5 to IEC C-13 Stock No: 31447 CB

- Poll: What do you use? - Electronics - Large Scale Central
I am really curious what how everyone runs on here after my weekend learning about what most of the NHGRS members use So, lets talk about it here, but I’d also love to actually take a poll and see what most people utilize… What type of power control do you use? What system do you use, if battery r c? I am currently using an R C system that I buy from the UK But, I’ve been told of a
- Realistic LED Passenger Car Lights for under $10 + Batteries
Didn’t want really bright passenger car lights and wanted to use batteries While walking thru Hobby Lobby I came across these $1 99 LED HO scale street light Too cheap not to try I rolled a knife along the pole to cut it off just below the light fixture, making sure not to cut thru the tiny wires: On the second car I did, I decided to add some heat shrink just below the fixture and to put
