911 sc hard starting when hot Nott sure where to start troubleshooting on this one After my sc has been run long enough to completely warm up (45 min to 1 hour) and shut down it'll start immediately but if left for app one hour it is very reluctant to start again

Thanks, that was the original 3 0 from my 1980 SC, rebuild and sold I build a Short-stroke 3 2 from a 1982 SC-engine which is in the 911 now A SS 3 2 is a 3 0 with bigger P C's (98 mm instead of 95 mm), a different cam-profile like 964, SSI headers and a flow-through muffler I like CIS but some people replace it with carburettors

I wanted the 930 brake setup but the cost was just too high, so I decided to do the stoptech kit for the 911 sc and have been very happy with it Full bolt on, thicker rotors than the Boxster setup and a more modern caliper Also it fits under 15 inch (or 16 in my case) wheels Price was half the 930 setup _____

I love this thread, and reading about how replacing an SC airbox with the engine in the car is "easy " Funny, back in the mid-'90s one of my master mechanics (911 specialist) asked if he could do an airbox replacement with the engine in the car (we had been dropping all CIS engines, except '73 5 - '75 models, since the beginning)
