I'm on mirtazapine 30mg I also do coke sometimes and I've found that mirtazapine relieves the come down effect of the coke and also blocks the cokes stimulating effect on ur heart and lungs This makes sense as mirtazapine is an antagonist of the receptors coke inhibit

I have been taking Mirtazapine for a couple years now, I take 60mg nightly (high dose I know!), and experienced all the side effects you describe at first I can relate to the 'zombie' feeling and feeling drowsy all day, those side effects go away after a good month or two

Mirtazapine was a great motivating anti depressant and anti anxiety for me I took it 15 mg for a week then moved up to 30 then eventually 45mg The higher the dosage the better the anti depressant effect

Mirtazapine isnt better classed as an anti-psychotic as was suggested in this thread Its main action is as an inverse agonist and antagonist at serotonin and adrenergic receptors, its affinity for dopamine 1, 2 and 3 receptors is thousands of times less then its affinity for 5-ht and adrenergic receptors
