- Bike Forums - Late 1980s Bianchi Top Models
The subject bicycle is definitely the 1988 model It's got the 2nd generation Syncro shift lever and the freewheel has been swapped for one with a larger range, so the shifting performance is anybody's guess
- 1988? Fuji Tiara - Bike Forums
October '87 serial number would indicate a 1988 model and this is corroborated by the color Are you sure it's too small for her? The reason I'm asking is because it doesn't even look like the saddle has been budged between the before and after pictures
- Bike Forums - Schwinn Le Tour - worth it?
I bought this exact model in 1988 as my first road bike This was when Schwinn started to ship their bike off overseas, but the cool thing about this one ( if the same) was that this model was made in the Chicago factory (look for the chicago plate on the headtube)
- Nishiki Colorado Mountain Bicycle - Bike Forums
I had a 1988 or 1989 Nishiki Colorado that had been designed by Richard Cunningham It handled really well, but was a very harsh ride, largely due to it having a straight steel fork and a mono top for the chain stay This was just before suspension became the rage They sold for about $360 more or less in the range of the Specialized Rockhopper
- 1988? Miyata 1200 I think - Bike Forums
The 1200 was a racing oriented bike just below the 'Team' and 'Pro' models in 1983-84; the 1988 was aimed more at the developing triathlon market However it's not going to blow up if you use it for recreational rides through the forest preserves, which is what I use mine for
- Bike Forums - 1988 Schwinn Premis
1988 Schwinn Premis We recently fixed up an 1988 Schwinn Premis at the coop I was debating buying it, but the price seems a bit high (even though I'd probably get it discounted
- Bike Forums - Tommasini timeline and serial number registry
In the spreadsheet I often refer to a Columbus decal with a blue bottom band as ‘bbb’, Columbus SLX red bottom band as rbb, etc The new style decal, with a slightly different gold bg and the colored band at the top was introduced in 1988 (bottom right) I make the assumption that the earlier style bbb or rbb decals were used into 1988
- Bianchi USA catalogs 1991-1995? - Bike Forums
An Equinox with XC Pro would be 1990 or 1991 as the 1992 version used XC Comp At the time, it was 2nd in Bianchi's Cross Terrain series, just below the Project-7, which also used XC Pro but with flat bars
