Basically, Artax doesn't really need to mods to do its job, which is nice for a weapon geared towards new players If you only have room for one mod, I'd say punch-through is the most dramatic difference But go crazy with all the "crap" mods you'd never put on your main gun and you might see some surprising improvements!

Artax's -only- use is that its a guaranteed cold proc on hit (REGARDLESS OF STATUS) and a beam weapon You could theoretically make something useful out of it with the new shivering contaigon mod, but its overshadowed by both the cryotra and verglas in terms of sentinels to pick up, dethcube prime has allows for energy generator shenanigans
