Can someone who has been to Camp Widow tell me a little about it about their experiences I came across it on instagram right after Dave passed but I was 1 hesitant to whether it was a trick 2 The camp was waaaay too soon for me I just want to know if I would be interested in going next

I know the Camp Widow founders and shuddered right from the get-go It was small at first but it was obvious that it could to grow into something that is as helpful as it is alienating and that it would eventual separate the haves from the have nots in a way that just adds insult to the overall unfairness of widowhood because the reality is that in order to be allowed to truly participate in

But the greatest part about camp widow for me was going to a place where I could be how I truly felt I didn't realize how much I needed this till I was there But it was great to be in a place where if you needed to step out because things were too much for you, everyone would understand It really just made me feel so much less isolated

Also soaring spirits international has regional groups, camp widows, and an online component There is church based programs, I think one is call grief share, maybe there is one in your area

I have an acquaintance that goes to camp widow and loves it I am planning on going next year As far as getting "unstuck" I am not there yet I am SOOOO stuck My husband died 12 10 I can't even cook for myself yet I feel like everything will come back slowly and differently WHo I was 2 years ago will not be who I am in a year from now My thought process is to tackle one thing at a time
