I bought a 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate Duramax and overall, I love the truck It's an absolute joy to drive, and the engine is fantastic Unfortunately, with barely 3k miles on the truck, I've had significant two issues that have required return trips to the dealer Issue 1 - The DEF supply line was not properly secured to the DEF

Hello, new to this forum Thinking about purchasing a 23 or 24 GMC Sierra with the 3 0 Duramax I drive about 10 miles each way to work, mixed freeway and city Reading about several issues with this motor, oil leaks, long starts no starts, DEF issues, etc I really like this motor and the gas mileage, but a bit concerned by what I'm reading

The shop where i work was using all AcDelco oil filters for the Duramax but with the design change the protrusion of the gasket was very minimal and we had many returns with filters leaking at the base We returned the GM junk and stocked up on genuine WIX filters Even the NAPA filters aren’t made by WIX anymore and are junk

The offset in a Duramax LB7 is about 2 - 3 inches This shows why it is harder to get to some rear engine bolts on the driver's side of the engine bay The same principle applies to most engines with two banks of cylinders, such as any V2, V4, V6, V8 or V12, etc
