I use GIPHY on my forum and I'll probably switch to Tenor when the change is made But ultimately, just like every free image host that started out free with hotlinking and became a click-to-enlarge thumbnail for full view wrapped in 10 ads, alternatives will follow suit or try to monetize GIFs some other way, like an embed that could show an

Obtaining a GIPHY API production key# Go to the GIPHY Developers page and click Create an App If you already have a GIPHY account then you can log in on the page that appears If you do not already have a GIPHY account you can click Join GIPHY! to create one Once you are logged in to the GIPHY Developers Dashboard click Create an App

It seems to imply there wasn't a video capture of the GIPHY experience or a full enough description Someone else had the same issue, even though they'd sent through a video already All I can suggest is you try again Either something went wrong with the video upload or they've somehow managed to miss it

The issue arises because the updateToolbarButtons method processes toolbarButtons and calls the callback with each groupData['buttons'], which might not always be an array

(I mean Facebook always relied on the Giphy API to link GIFS, now they just a leg up, that way if the API ever breaks, they still own the company, and can do direct links to the GIFS) Last edited: Sep 9, 2020
