Has anyone here hunted hap land in Lapeer, Genessee, or St Clair county? If so, how was your experience (crowding, ethical vs slob hunters, overall enjoyment of the hunting experience, abundance of wildlife compared to state game areas)?

I've hunted a few of the farms in st clair county enrolled in the hunting access program in the past and noticed in the 2001-2002 booklet all specify no sunday hunting with one including archery I've also been kicked off a hap farm for wanting to deer hunt on thanksgiving day (thursday)

A few years ago there was a small chunk of land near Ann Arbor in HAP I went out there a couple times and it was very evident it received a lot of hunting pressure

The Hap program is great my friends and I have had many great hunts on HAP lands like hunting State lands, you have to put in your time doing some scouting and talking to locals like others said you may have to walk a few parcels to find the right spot for you

From my understanding, MI-Hunt is just a statewide map with overlays that show land that is open to the public to hunt - state land, CFR land and HAP land Are you thinking of the HAP program where private landowners grant access in order to reduce their deer numbers?
