I picked Nelnet as my servicer since they already had them All of the old loans show paid in full and I have the new consolidated loan Just a glitch on Nelnet’s side showing the consolidated loan is paid in full I applied for consolidation before payments resumed last year

My student loan was transferred to Nelnet - that was a hot mess None of my information was correct Now my number of total payments made is listed incorrectly in Nelnet I was previously on an IDR plan I submitted an application to switch to SAVE in August I received a confirmation email that my application was submitted and being reviewed

Nelnet is tough to get good will on paid off loans, as people have mentioned Unfortunately not keeping up to date on your student loan status is not a good reason for paying late It sucks, but it's why they make you read and sign multiple pages of repayment education - which informs you of time periods for repayment out of grace periods

Nelnet also took me out of Administrative forbearance (due to COVID-19) so they could report accrued interest of over $5,000 that they say is from between April 2018 - now at 4 875% on my IBR plan so this made my total debt go up then today they put me back in Administrative forbearance
