- Transfer to Questrade and get up to 3% cashback
Questrade was the OG discount brokerage in Canada and my first brokerage here as well Over the years, they've gotten pretty complacent and now most of my investments are with NBDB and Wealthsimple Their feature set is probably still quite a lot better than Wealthsimple, you can transfer accounts from a US Brokerage in-kind for example and options, margin trading etc if you're into it
- Funding a Questrade account through Interact e-transfer Simplii
You can fund using Interac Online, but must initiate from Questrade first Takes you to interact portal, enter banking info and voila Instant transfer of money, I believe 3000K daily limit with Simplii Questrade From Questrade: INTERAC ONLINE × Interac Online lets you fund your Questrade account directly from your financial institution
- Questrade $0 commissions and $0 ECN fees for buying and selling CDN . . .
There have been commission free (but not completely free) discount brokerages like Wealthsimple, National Bank DB, Disnat, etc, but Questrade's tools and their app are unmatched I've been trading CAD with NBDB, USD with Questrade, but I'll close NBDB TH: @JCCRFD @FestivusMiracle Wait, there's more! Transfer in for up to 3% bonus, ends 2 28:
- Questrade To Charge $10 + Tax For Journaling Shares
You asked, we listened! Journaling shares is now available online through your Questrade account You can easily access it by logging into your Questrade account and going to Management> Journal Shares This new online service means we will no longer be accepting journal requests over phone, chat or email
- Best rate way to transfer usd to Questrade?? - RedFlagDeals. com
If you already have USD, then by all means just use Questrade pre-authorized deposit from a Canadian USD bank account If you have CAD, banks would charge you about 2 5% on the conversion to USD, and Questrade probably similar (not disclosed - shady) Transferwise and knightsbridgefx com are cheaper options, around 0 5% maybe
- Transferring USD from US based account to Questrade
Then you link Questrade to the USD account on the Canadian side As the linking process requires a debit transaction, mind the transaction charges: if you link and withdraw within a month, RBC would charge you like $3 USD for the withdrawal as it would be over 1 free debit month Edit: it does not seem Questrade verifies bank accounts via deposits
- Buying US stocks on Questrade? - RedFlagDeals. com Forums
I asked Questrade the same question and the answer was that, without converting yourself first, you are borrowing the USD from Questrade, so they charge interest (about 6 5% a year if I read their terms page correctly--3 5% + prime) It's similar to using your margin account to buy more than you can actually fund (about 6% for that):
- Questrade charging $9. 95+TAX per journaling request
You asked, we listened! Journaling shares is now available online through your Questrade account You can easily access it by logging into your Questrade account and going to Management> Journal Shares This new online service means we will no longer be accepting journal requests over phone, chat or email It will be free until April 1, 2025
