regarding the Red Maradol, these are non hybrid, and you can save seeds again and again, Red Maradol is the main variety imported from Mexico, about as productive as Red Lady, but have no resistance to PRSV , so I expect RM, to slowly be phased out in favor of the New Hybrids that are at least tolerant of PRSV

Growing 2 Sabaras, red hybrid, Grimal, and blue vexator all in ground, on limestone Except for mixing in some nice soil when planting and occasional fertilizer, not doing much to them and certainly not trying to bring the ph down (ph of soil is high) All except the Grimal (2-3 feet) have fruited It can be done

It has more of the S Megalanthus flavor profile than the red or purple DF The flesh is also more firm which make it taste exceptional My second Frankies red was harvested when it just turned from Orange to Red and it was much sweeter with a Brix of 18% but it tastes just as sweet if not more so than my purple DF with a Brix of 21%

I picked up some Red Custard apples (Annona reticulata} today (Feb15th) from a friend who is growing them in Parkland FL These beauties weighed from 1 5 to almost 2 lbs each He has been harvesting them for the past 3 weeks They have a little grit but are very sweet and have a flavor similar to birthday cake, which is what I call them
