The link just posted is playing inline on mobile and with the expando embed on web If you had reservations about posting redgifs com links because of how they would play in Reddit, please discard those reservations now and begin using redgifs com links when posting to your various NSFW subreddit communities

We have also tested other 3rd party embed options and these work fine These include i redgifs com which was configured after the gfycat redgifs split It appears that the issue specifically effects RedGIFs video links which again hints at gfycat, or at least something Reddit side, as being the root of the issue
