- Mixing Shimano SRAM drivetrains : r gravelcycling - Reddit
Actually, you can mix SRAM derailleur and shifters with Shimano shifters and derailleur, but only on 12 spd mtb groups You can freely mix sram or Shimano cassettes as long as the number of cogs match your shifters Chains can be freely mixed too, including third party chains like KMC What exact mix results in the best shifting?
- Ultegra Di2 vs SRAM Rival eTap AXS : r cycling - Reddit
Also, SRAM now offers the cheapest way to get a power meter in their left cranks upgrade kits for Rivals AXS D1 and Force AXS D2 Little things like the cassette being one piece, the data from the app, swappable batteries, and I think SRAM AXS for gravel and especially MTB are superior
- SRAM Apex 1 review : r gravelcycling - Reddit
I upgraded to SRAM Rival 1 once it became knackered The difference was noticeable Shifting was definitely faster and more tactile feeling, I quite like Double-tap as you can operate all shifts from one lever, but I think the simplicity of 1x is what I enjoyed and noticed the most, which you can of course get from GRX, Ekar or any modern mtb
- SRAM axs rival front derailleur not connecting : r bikewrench - Reddit
Have you tried manually connecting it to the system, not through app (note Rear derailleur must be in paring mode to connect shifters and Front derailleur)Neither the app or the system can connect to the fd by its self, the entire brain of the system is the RD
- Can I mix and match SRAM AXS components? : r gravelcycling - Reddit
The front crank is a rival 1x The chain is a Red flattop chain And one time, I had an eagle XX1 AXS rear derailer (on the same above setup) which shifted buttery smooth even with a flattop chain (not recommended by SRAM tho) So yes, it's all compatible
- AXS Rival and Force spindle power meters-- how accurate are . . . - Reddit
Sram made a bit of a splash a few years back by offering an extremely affordable Rival AXS left-side (spindle based) power meter-- only about $270 to add one to an existing crankset, or $370 for the whole crank
- Shimano deore VS sram SX NX groupsets : r MTB - Reddit
In my opinion sram drivetrains look better than they perform and shimano the complete opposite you don't get good value w sram unless it's the gx eagle or gx axs, by good I mean durability an consistency in performance, shifting feel couldn't matter less since there all basically the same w maybe the slightest of difference (my experience from switching from shimano deore 12 speed to sram nx
- Whats good bad?? gt; GRX RX810 Di2 vs SRAM Rival XPLR eTap AXS
Yeah definitely go SRAM as you’ll no doubt feel a little sad seeing all the 12 speed GRX coming out in a few weeks Having compared GRX to SRAM on my bike vs my wife’s bike I actually think SRAM has better stopping power but your mileage may vary Shimano do offer slightly better indexing customisation too with more precise controls
