I got this update too for one of my Schlage Encode Plus locks There’s a minor difference in model identifiers between two seemingly identical locks purchased at the same time There’s apparently a difference in the radios used in the locks My lock that received an update today has model ID be499WB

Maybe I’m dumb but I struggled getting the encode plus working using the Schlage app and HomeKit and figured I would write up what I learned for others who may struggle The only way to see history on the lock is to use the Schlage app currently (I’m on iOS 15 6) I obviously wanted to connect the lock to HomeKit and still see the history

I put Schlage levers on my interior doors and they’re a good heavy quality In my case it was to match the Schlage Smart keypad lock on the exterior doors I picked the Schlage mostly due to the exterior lock features but I did read some commentary the quality was better than Kwikset
