I find school digger more reliable because its based on exam results I believe and I'm happy to be proven wrong, that Greatschools is entirely based on the ratings given by individual reviewers - so you could have a bunch of folks plumping it up for you with 5 stars, or some disgruntled parent who goes back 10 times with 2

schooldigger and greatschools both assign rankings based purely off of state standardized tests, so schools that have a larger percentage of lower income students or students who don't speak English as a first language score worse

This is not true Especially since the wonkiness of great schools started working against the schools that anyone with any knowledge of the communities--including real estate agents-- knew were far better schools than higher rated schools

Since I cannot view the Schooldigger page, I looked the school up on Wiki In 2016, it had 600-some students IOW, a tiny 2A high school compared to the normal-sized (or large) 5A high schools in Fairfax Apples to oranges A suburban high school will offer so much more than a tiny high school, there's no comparison

My kid went to another ES with a start time of 9:15, dismissal 3:50 It was fine She (and other kids she knew) would use the time before school to finish up homework or other school stuff, and the school had before-school activities like a language club, or Science Olympiad coaching meetings before school, or an outside vendor that came in and did kids' hip-hop dance lessons, etc
