it is a simulcast system, so you only need one it is a simulcast system not the towers so the same thing goes out over both towers just listen to one tower the reason things get cut out a with attenuation is that you have the squelch up at 8 and attenuation on attenuation cuts the signal to 1 100 of the original strength
