  • Titanium oil lamp, also fits in UCO candle lantern.
Viola, it fit like it was made for it and works better than imagined I didn't set out to make this fit in the UCO, and I had no idea it would fit That was just a serendipity thing and the results are fantastic It also works great for added stability just sitting in the candle holder alone with out being inserted in the outer UCO shell
  • DIY UCO lantern candles. . . - Bushcraft USA Forums
I have found a container the right size for moulding candles for the original UCO candle lanterns they are 30mm x 90 mm Dairy farms have milk sample bottles they look like 35mm film canisters only much taller and a little wider I have a candle burning in my lantern now Will post pictures
  • UCO Titan worth it? - Bushcraft USA Forums
I've tried these, the regular UCO Stormproof matches, their even-smaller survival matches, and the Coghlan's BCB stormproof matches The Titan matches are well-made and reliable fire-starting tools My preference is for Coghlan's stormproof matches with hexamine solid fuel tablets
  • Those UCO Gear candle lanterns. . . . . hipster fluff or solid industrial . . .
Citronellas are available in various forms other than UCO fit and cheaper, so may work out cheaper to just grab a cheaper bag of tea light ones or standalone types elsewhere As the Citronellas are dearer i only opted to get a pack to try out
  • UCO tea candle lantern - Bushcraft USA Forums
It comes in a plastic tube that provides some protection, but I wanted something a little better to carry it in UCO sells a small padded case, but it costs almost as much as the lantern itself My cheap alternative is a thin can cozy - the sort most stores and companies give away free as promo items, part of an old sock, and a rubber band
  • A GOOD strike-anywhere match! | Bushcraft USA Forums
UCO - A GOOD strike-anywhere match! Previous posts have lamented the absence of dependable good-old strike anywhere wooden “kitchen” matches from store shelves in the USA Well this may be an answer – UCO Strike Anywhere Matches manufactured in Chile and available on line I paid $2 50 a box - a penny a match (Google it for dealers )
  • Candoil replacement for you Uco (and other) Candle Lanterns. . . !
A seller on ebay (tho once you purchase from him once, he will allow you contact him directly to save a little money) has started making a great lamp oil insert for Uco Candle Lanterns (and others) They are machined aluminum, work great and are not too $$$ I have both the large and small size
  • DIY Uco Type Lantern - Bushcraft USA Forums
Well the workshop stinks a bit as I've been cutting up deodorant cans with a dremmel making a tea light candle lantern I used Lynx Deodorant cans, think it's called Axe Deodorant over in the US Finally worked out a method of cutting glass bottles well enough to make a glass globe
