I've tried about 6 different sites now and find they all give me different results so I've narrowed it down to these two Monkeytype consistently has me at a much higher score than typingtest com, but monkeytype doesn't have any capital letters or numbers, which typingtest com does have

Keybr is much better as a beginner than monkey type I actually started at TypingClub just to get familiar with which finger to type which keys, once I was a comfortable I then progressed to keybr got green on all letters, I am now using monkeytype which seems the next logical step Long road ahead Each site seems to have it's advantages, I would have been frustrated to start on monkeytype

How about the word list and "stop on word" settings? Gary Internet’s Typing Guide (linked in this sub) is pretty emphatic that these two settings are essential to getting useful practice in MonkeyType
