WinCo will be lucky to break 5% share after opening a half dozen new stores, and a chunk of that will come from Safeway can Safeway even afford to lose 1% of share to WinCo in that market at this point? Wal Mart will probably lose 2% share to WinCo and King Soopers lose 2% share to WinCo once WinCo gets a few stores open

I expect closing the bulk foods departments and stopping sales of individual bagels, donuts, and rolls also took a hit as WinCo did pretty high volume on those bulk foods and individual bakery items

I find WinCo pricing to be very weak on non foods (including cleaning, paper, pet, and drug HBA) You can sometimes find deals on items in those categories but overall it is bad

Aldi Lidl will be the closest thing to WinCo You will probably really miss WinCo Food Lion isn't Safeway (it is cheaper, has far less fresh product, far less selection in general) by any stretch but Food Lion can sort of be okay Harris Teeter runs a very solid operation in NC, they are extremely well run with high quality products but you will pay for that Ingles sort of reminds me of a
