- Which air quality website app are you using? : r Seattle - Reddit
I've seen a few maps posted showing what the smoke looks like from space and similar posts showing an air quality index I'm used to using Weather Underground but it doesn't seem to report on smoke or air quality as much as just the simple temperature and precipitation

PurpleAir Local Air Quality Index Solution August 11, 2018, 06:30 PM Being in California surrounded by the smoke of large fires this summer, I've written a program to take readings from a local PurpleAir sensor via their API and write the contents into a text file, then wrote an HS3 script to read the text file and populate a virtual device

- Purple Air Air Quality sensors - HomeSeer Message Board
Should the "Air Quality" devices it creates actually be called "PM1 Concentration", "PM10 Concentration", "PM2 5 Concentration" so they are not confused with AQI? 3 For the purpleair config page you may want to call the key "THINGSPEAK_PRIMARY_ID_READ_KEY" so it is a little more clear what to put into the key field?
- Why does AirNow sometimes give such different AQI numbers than purple . . .
That’s because the science we have about air pollution exposure and health is based on 24 hours and therefore EPA’s air quality standards are based on 24 hours The NowCast calculation uses longer averages during periods of stable air quality and shorter averages when air quality is changing rapidly
- Air quality, purple air. com : r eastbay - Reddit
Airnow takes purple air data, and applies this "nowcast" calculation, effectively cleaning the purpleair data and to make it closer to the data that is traditionally presented by their higher cost equipment that AQI is normally calculated from

- Do air purifiers help? : r PurpleAir - Reddit
I was considering buying an air purifier but rethinking it if indoor air is usually decent I don't even cook I live in one of the northern suburbs of greater Los Angeles where air quality is a little better, but still not greater Outdoor week averages are about 60 and indoor week averages really vary from house to house but roughly around 25
- PurpleAir vs Plume Labs vs Ambee? : r AirQuality - Reddit
The official airnow epa sensors are too spread out to be that informative and I am not aware of good research calibration work with other sensor networks On top of that purple air has so many sensors in the area that I can get a much better sense for whats going on
