- Someone bought Sweet Water guitars. Providence Equity Partners Acquires . . .
I got a present from Sweetwater for my birthday last month and got the usual I've curtailed a bit because prior to the pandemic I bought an amp and it wound up more discounted at Guitar Center after it shipped but before it arrived and they wouldn't match, kind of annoying but I wasn't going through the trouble of sending it back either
- Sweetwater New Guitar Set Up. . . . Worth it? Quality?
I bought a new USA Fender from Sweetwater in 2022 It arrived with three high frets and a nut with slots so high that all cowboy chords were a quarter tone sharp on fretted notes I am fairly accomplished at setups, but between the nut, the high frets, and a slight misalignment in the neck pocket, I did not want to attempt fixes for a guitar
- Buying Guitars from Sweetwater. . . - The Gear Page
I've bought a PRS S2 Custom 24, and a MIM Fender Strat Deluxe from Sweetwater Both turned out to be perfect out of the box regarding playability And with the pictures they offer, you get a good look at what you are getting I'd stick with the standard treatment Unless you are looking for something specific
- Fender Nuts and Sweetwater Plek Nut Replacement
First post I’ve noticed some high-end, expensive Fender and Fender Custom Shop signature guitars (i e both Eric Clapton guitars, Rory Gallagher, etc ) come with synthetic bone nuts (Melamine per an email to Fender) and was curious why bone isn’t used like on most other expensive Fender
- Musicians Friends or Sweetwater - The Gear Page
Sweetwater has the whole value-added pitch, but that really has not come to my rescue So shopping Sweetwater involves getting a quote and a little small talk with the sales rep I'm really not a fan of the calls and chit chat My last interaction with Sweetwater was a quote request on some mics
- Sweetwater Guitars, Will Your Rep Work With You On Price?
I live about 2 hours from Sweetwater Last Christmas I was out in Colorado and played a choice R7 Goldtop at Wildwood I was gassing really bad when I got home and wanting to keep it local I reached out to Sweetwater to make the deal on an identical guitar The Wildwood delivered price was several hundred less than the Sweetwater Cash-n-carry
- The Great Direct Box Comparison with Audio Samples (Sweetwater)
I’d imagine I’d want something more neutral for recording other instruments, but for bass, I’d be happy with the lowly Pro DI all day It made me stop GASing for a JDI for my live DI and I kept my Pro D2, which I use for my keyboards, mainly I still like a nicer DI for recording, but that’s about features as much as actual sound
- Unsure about buying a new acoustic from Sweetwater
That said, Sweetwater is great to buy from and returns are easy enough Might be worth a gamble, especially if you can negotiate a little discount Don't count on a perfect setup either, unless you pay extra for it, but here again setups are kind of personal too other than intonation
- Sweetwater Plek - The Gear Page
I've only heard good things about Sweetwater PLEK over the years A quick search should bring up those old threads It's the best way to go if you want a PLEK, because if the guitar is damaged in shipping, you can just send it back for a full refund and you won't be out a dime
- Question for you sound engineers: What is the best . . . - The Gear Page
www sweetwater com If you want a quality audio signal generator the SoundBullet might be OK for basic "pocket size" use but this is what I use in the studio CLEARANCE NTi Audio Minirator MR2 Handheld Audio Tone Generator
